Present within Montreal’s music scene for over ten years, Maxime Morin, aka DJ Champion has been making waves, ever since the release of his first album Chill’Em All (Saboteur Musique), released in 2004, for which he won the Album of the year award in the electronic-techno music category at the 2005 ADISQ. This one of a kind musician has not only helped form numerous punk acts throughout the years, but has also performed as DJ Mad Max, before being joined by his band the G-Strings, composed of four guitarists, one bass player and an amazing vocalist.

tracks to Elyzabeth via email; completely seduced
by the refreshing atmosphere of his music,
she instantly improvises a melody & lyrics,
establishes a structure and sends him back
the first draft of Above My Hell that same
day. After such a succesful musical exchange

Audio
Sculpture Exp (Thierry
Gauthier) Similarly his production technique
is more akin to the way a management consultant
works than the way a conventional record
producer works; that is, rather than sit
behind a mixing desk for months on end, Thierry
likes to pop in regularly, but only occasionally,
enough to steer the project, but not so much
that he can't hear the music with a fresh
pair of ears.
